Can’t see podcast the very first time you log in

The very first time someone logs into the podcasting system they do not see the podcast sites they are attempting to access.

This occurs because a person is only added to the various podcast sites the second time they log in. Each subsequent time they log in after that, they will have access to all of the sites that they are “attached” to.

Fix

If you cannot see your podcast sites the very first time you log in, please log out, and log in again.

Can’t Open Podcast Site within Blackboard

Students have reported that when they try to open their podcast site pages within Blackboard they only see a blank screen.

Workaround

1. Right-click on the link to your podcast site
2. Open link in a new tab or window

IE9 won’t play embedded videos fully

Staff have reported that video files will only partially play when embedded in IE9. We are working on finding a solution for this problem.

Workarounds

1. Use another web browser to access the video files – Firefox or Google Chrome for example.
2. Use IE9 in compatibility view – to do this:
   1. With IE9 open press F12
   2. This will bring up a window at the bottom of your browser called Developer Tools
   3. Along the top of this window find the menu Browser Mode: IE9
   4. Click the menu and select Internet Explorer 9 Compatibility View
   5. You can now press F12 again to make the Developer Tools’ window close.
