These images are freely available for download or printing for research or educational purposes. Images are either in the public domain, licenced as creative commons, available for research or educational use, or can be used if the original creator or source is acknowledged (eg War Photographs, NZ History Online). Acknowledgement is provided for images sourced from other libraries.

Images from a schools’ district can be more relevant for students. Images of local war memorials can be found on NZ History online.

Printing
Where possible black and white images are formatted for printing within a 5″x7″ format. Images can be printed onto A4/A5 or onto photographic paper.
